No 92 is a restaurant and wine bar on Glebe Point Road, serving a Mexican-influenced menu alongside an extensive drinks list.
I’ve been here for evening drinks, and their Friday lunch set menu and enjoyed both experiences.
No 92 is immediately one of the more refined establishments on Glebe Point Road. It’s apparent without even setting a foot inside – the restaurant is housed in a Victorian terrace with a beautiful exterior. Once you’ve entered, there are several dining and function spaces – I sat downstairs both times. The large windows capture natural light during the daytime, which plays well with the white interior.
Saturday night drinks
I first visited on a Saturday night, immediately before a reservation at another restaurant. The servers greeted us and took us to our table. Across all my visits, the staff were excellent, discussing menu selection with us and generally chatting when appropriate. The vibe is conducive to conversation – there’s music, but at a background level.
We ordered a mixture of cocktails and wine, and I had sake. Given the Mexican menu influence, I was surprised they offered sake at all, but the drinks list was far more international. Everything was well executed and the staff recommendations went well.
Friday locals lunch
We enjoyed the visit so much we planned to try their Friday locals lunch. For $45 a head, you can choose an entree, main and dessert to share.
We both had the tuna tostada – delicious, with a welcome kick coming from the fermented chilli.
I had the barramundi, whereas my partner had the spaghetti. Of the pair, I think we enjoyed the spaghetti more, albeit perhaps unfairly, given it is naturally a more indulgent dish. The noodles were expertly covered in sauce and well cooked, and the Mexican influence put a novel spin on a classic dish.
By comparison, the barramundi seemed plain. Enjoyable and well-executed given the price range, but not at the level of the other items.
The carrot & date pudding dessert was disappointing. It lacked flavour, which was surprising given the rest of the meal. It sucks when dessert ends the meal on a somewhat bum note, but I can’t let one disappointing element discolour an otherwise solid service.

There are some optional additional courses for $18, but we felt the offering as-is was fine for lunch.
No 92 – overall verdict
If you are looking for a lunch spot in Glebe or are keen for drinks and conversation off the bustle of the street, No 92 is a fine option.
